Hillside Family of Agencies held its inaugural "Hillside Community Shield" soccer tournament at Sahlen's Stadium on Tuesday.
The soccer matches are based on a European-style charity tournament, all to raise money and support the service at Hillside.
The feature match was between the RIT and University of Rochester men. The teams competed for the Community Shield.
"To have four of the premiere men's team in this community competing for Hillside, on behalf of Hillside's families and children, is very special. I've talked to both college coaches, and they believe the mission of Division III sports is to have their students give back to the community," said Tom Hildebrandt, president of Hillside Children's Foundation.
The event also featured a 9/11 tribute ceremony and moment of silence along with city and county first responders.
