Maggie Brooks is pushing back hard against a new TV ad released by Rep. Louise Slaughter’s campaign that ties together a number of scandals in Monroe County and lays them at the feet of the GOP county executive. The ad is clearly the toughest so far of the closely watched campaign.

Brooks held a press conference Wednesday morning where she blasted Slaughter - saying she “defines what's wrong with Washington.”

Slaughter stood behind the ad and is planning on holding campaign events around the county to emphasize the scandals mentioned in this ad.

The television ad also features edited clips from a story YNN did back in March. YNN did not authorize the use of those clips for the ad.

We have however, invited both campaigns to debate on YNN. Brooks campaign accepted our invite, but Slaughter’s campaign declined.
