Douglass Statue to Be Built in U.S. Capitol
A statue of Rochester resident and abolitionist hero, Frederick Douglass, will be built in our nation's capitol.
Senator Charles Schumer made the announcement Thursday. The statue will be placed in the U.S. Capitol Building.
Douglass is buried in Rochester's Mount Hope Cemetery.
