Greentopia Innovation Festival Kicks Off

Greentopia Innovation Festival Kicks Off
Lt. Governor Robert Duffy kicked off the Greentopia Innovation Festival at the Rochester Plaza Hotel.

He discussed New York state's sustainability efforts. Those include the state partnering with big and small businesses to invest in new clean energy sources and environmental initiatives.

These programs will help protect the state's natural resources, increase energy conservation and create jobs.

Lt. Governor Duffy said, "What we're talking about here is really nothing more than lowering costs, good for business. Creating jobs, which is good for the business and the economy and reducing the use of energy, helping our planet. Which is really good for sustaining where we live in our state and our world for our future generations."

The Greentopia I Innovation Conference is a week long and includes film screenings, fashion, art and music shows.
