Hundreds of people participated in an Airport Emergency Drill at the Greater Rochester International Airport Saturday.
The goal of the exercise was to ensure the police department, fire department, EMTs, local hospitals, and airport administrators are prepared to handle a disaster if one should occur.
The drill tried to be as realistic as possible, including fire, wreckage, and casualties.
120 volunteers played victims and hundreds of other rescue personnel also played a part.
The drill was required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
