A playing field in Wayne County will be dedicated Sunday in honor of a longtime coach and mentor.
The home field of the Gananda Panthers will be dedicated to Thomas Palmer. Palmer drowned in Canandaigua Lake this past May.
Palmer was the co-founder of the Gananda Youth Lacrosse Program and coached the JV lacrosse team the past two years.
He also coached a number of other students in youth football and lacrosse.
