ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Bills fans have been waiting for this moment since the end of last season.

"Not just the football fans are excited about the start of the home season for the Bills. Always a great time to see former players come back into town and reconnect," said former Bills player, Ruben Brown.

Thousands crowded the streets in and around the stadium to show their pride and support for the red, white and blue.

The Bills faced the Kansas City Chiefs and fans kept their minds towards a win.

"I grew up here so kind of have to be and I grew up watching the Bills. Just a big part of Buffalo," said one fan.

Bills fans said it's all about tradition and it's that excitement that keeps them coming back season after season.

"Tradition, ya know live through the worst, and you stick with it. Kelly is still the defining moment," exclaimed a fan.

Former Bills Pro Bowler, Ruben Brown said despite a disappointing loss against the Jets in the season opener and two costly injuries, he predicts the Bills will gain the momentum they need for multiple wins this season.

"Now you're down two substantial players. But I think the way the game plan will work, those players can be substituted by others and we will still, you know gain the same amount of yardage and have the same advantages. I look for improved defense. A lot more CJ Spiller," he said.

Whatever the outcome, the fans remain loyal and keep their faith, supporting the Bills through it all.

"Bills fans together, win or lose," said a fan.

Another said, "Being together and everyone is having fun, the tailgate is the best part."

Bills beat the Chiefs 35 - 17.
