Two Rochester men are behind bars following a larceny in Greece that ended in a car crash.
Police in Greece arrested 42-year-old Ronald Warnick and 37-year-old Wendyll Jones. Police say the two stole merchandise from the Kmart store on West Ridge Road on Monday afternoon, fought with a security guard, and then fled the scene.
Police say they initially pulled the suspects' white Chevrolet over, but the car then sped away. Police in Greece pursued the car, but lost sight of it. The officers came across the vehicle a short while later after it had crashed into a utility pole near Hudson Avenue and Route 104 in Rochester.
Both suspects were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Warnick faces petit larceny charges. Jones is charged with larceny, fleeing police, resisting arrest, and reckless endangerment.
Both men are being held in the Monroe County Jail.
