Wednesday was opening day for the new First Niagara Fringe Festival.

While the group Bandaloop was still practicing for their free shows on Thursday and Saturday, the team's rehearsal was still amazing enough to draw a crowd.

Bandaloop is an aerial dance company. The group has performed on the side of Seattle's Space Needle as well as Wall Street, and here, they'll dance on the HSBC Tower.

"So the HBCS building here in Rochester. It's very simple. It's very clean. It's very plain. But that is great, right? You wouldn't want a dance floor that was full of colors to compete with you or shapes to deal with. So the fact that it's quite simple and a plain color makes a wonderful dance floor. And I love the height," said Amelia Rudolph, Bandaloop artistic director.

The Fringe Festival runs for five days, including 180 performances of various acts at venues across Rochester.
