Second Victim in Deadly Crash Identified
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office released the identity of the second person who died in a head-on collision in Ontario County Wednesday. Deputies say Adolfo Resendiz, 34, was a passenger in the car. He and Patsy Garcia were killed in the crash just after 2 p.m. in the town of Canandaigua, just north of the hamlet of Cheshire.
Deputies tell us the sedan Garcia was driving crossed into the southbound lane and hit an oncoming pick-up truck pulling an empty horse trailer.
Both Garcia and Resendiz were ejected from the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police said the driver was walking and talking when emergency crews arrived. Sheriff Phil Povero described the crash as violent.
"The vehicle is so heavily damaged. It's really been dismantled, fallen apart, taken apart as a result of this crash, so that the people that were in the car, again, pronounced dead at the scene," Povero said.
Two dogs were in the car; one died at the scene, and the other was taken to a veterinary hospital.
Police continue to investigate.
