The Rochester Red Wings' general manager was named this year's International League Executive of the year.
Dan Mason is in his 23rd year with the Red Wings, and it was an extra busy year for the 45-year-old Mason and his staff.
This past season, Frontier Field hosted 40 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees games and 72 Red Wings games because the Yankees home stadium was being renovated.
Mason said the extra work made for extra enjoyment for Rochester fans.
"If you're a baseball fan, there was no better place to be than Rochester, New York, this summer. Almost every single night there was a baseball game that you could attend, so I think it was certainly a lot of work for our front office, everybody that worked here, it was a very unique season but for a fan, it doesn't get any better than what happened this year."
This was Mason's third time receiving the International League honor.
