Male Inmate Bites Officer
A corrections officer is injured after trying to restrain an inmate in the Steuben County Jail.
The Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Eric Drake bit an officer on the hand while he was being restrained during an fight with another inmate late Tuesday night.
The officer also has an elbow injury.
He was brought to Ira Davenport Hospital and was treated for his injuries.
Drake is charged with felony assault and is back in the jail without bail. He was originally serving a 90-day sentence for petit larceny.
