Two teenagers from the Rochester area and a Wayne County man are among 19 people Thursday being honored Nationally with the Carnegie Medal.

The award recognizes individual heroism.

The two teens from the Rochester area are Mustafa Said and Christopher Patino. The two teens helped save 17-year-old Nicole Bean who was attacked inside the Calkins Road Wegmans in January 2011.

Also honored is Matthew Scribner of Palmyra. He's credited with saving a man from drowning in April of 2011.
