The founder of Isreal's Kadima party was the special guest speaker at a kickoff event for the Jewish Federation of Rochester's UJA Federation Campaign.
Tzipi Livni, who was named one of Newsweek's "150 Women who Shake the World," delivered her address titled: "The Changing Face of Israel."
"The world is being divided now between extremists and moderate and pragmatics, and need to understand that we need to work in the same or different sides of the same equations. On one hand to defend our values and to work with the pragmatics and to show zero tolerance to the extremists," she said
The campaign is designed to strengthen Jewish life in Rochester, Israel, and around the world.
