Woman Steals $50,000 from Employer
A Steuben County woman is accused of stealing more than $50,000 from her employer.
Patricia Spears is charged with grand larceny, forgery and falsifying business records.
The Yates County Sheriff's Office says while working at a Penn Yan business as a bookeeper, Spears wrote checks to herself and then changed the business records to other peoples' names and businesses.
She is being held in the Yates County jail on bail.
