Man Pleads Not Guilty in Whitney Street Murder
One of the men charged in connection with the shooting death of another man on Whitney Street back in August pleaded not guilty in Monroe County Court Friday morning.
25-year-old James Hillyard and 23-year-old Miles Mitchell are both charged with second degree murder and first degree robbery.
The two are accused of beating and then shooting 27-year-old Joshua Groat on August 25th.
Police said help from the community lead authorities to the two suspects.
A grand jury indicted both. If convicted on all charges, the men face life in prison.
They remain in jail without bail.
