A big day for the Hillside Family of Agencies as the organization unveiled its newly renovated Monroe Avenue campus.
The facility underwent a 13-year, $22 million facelift.
The new facility coincides with the organization's 175th anniversary. Hillside is one of the oldest youth and family non-profit service organizations in the country. The renovations include new bedrooms, a new dentist, a diagnostic medical facility and a new kitchen.
"We serve 12,000 children and families," said Dennis Richardson, Hillside C.E.O. "So here, we have a 115 children that live here, but we serve many, many other youngsters in the community and it's all about creating success in their life. So, our youngsters are children who have great futures ahead of them and Hillside's responsibility is to recognize the goodness and the greatness in those youngsters and bring that to fruition so that they lead successful lives as adults."
Hillside has about 40 locations throughout Central and Western New York.
