MVP Health Care Hosts Marathon

Thousands of people made their way through the City of Rochester for the annual MVP Health Care Rochester half and full marathon.

The 26.2 course started at Andrews St. bridge at 7:30 Sunday morning. The course took the runners down East Avenue out to the Village of Fairport and then back to Frontier Field for the finish.

The Half marathon got underway at 7:45. Top finishers receive cash and prizes.

The Rochester marathon is a qualifier for the Boston marathon.

Greece's own "J-Mac" Jason McElwain finished 15th.
