Pilots Spot Pot Plants From the Air
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol pilots spotted more than 120 marijuana plants on Monday while flying over Wyoming County.
According to the sheriff's office, the pilots noticed the pot plants during a routine mission. They then directed deputies to specific locations where the plants being grown in the Town of Perry.
Deputies seized 129 plants, with most of them standing more than six feet tall. Investigators believe the plants were being grown to sell, and estimated the value at $75,000.
Customs and Border Patrol Pilots have located several other locations in the county in the past, with over 800 plants being seized just this year.
