The Boy Scouts are starting their annual recruitment campaign.

It's an opportunity for boys as young as first grade to learn life skills in a fun setting.

The Boy Scouts help boys develop skills in leadership, community service, and teamwork through activities like camp, whitewater rafting, and rock climbing.

These challenging activities helps boys develop stronger self-esteem and most of the skills developed in the program will stick with the boys throughout their lifetime.

Boy scout Sergio Gonzalez said, "I get more confidence cause I earn a lot of merit badges and it shows that I earn them."

Robert Mallory, of the Boy Scouts said, "The Skills we teach you in boys scout will stay with you throughout your adulthood. I remember when I was a boy scout and those same skills I've carried throughout all my life."

Boys can join starting as early as first grade and can remain members until they are 18.
