Fifth Prescription Drug Take Back Day
If you have any old prescription drugs laying around at home the Drug Enforcement Agency is making it easy for you to get rid of them Saturday.
Today marks the DEA's fifth prescription drug take back day.Hundreds of sites have been set up for you to go turn in your expired, unused, or unwanted prescriptions at no cost and with no questions asked.
The DEA says that prescription drug abuse has become a huge problem, which is why it wants to get the drugs out of household medicine cabinets so they can safely be disposed of.
On the last prescription drug take back day in April, the DEA collected more than 552,000 pounds of drugs throughout the country. Drugs will be collected today from 10 to 2.
