21-year-old Cody Coopenberg, of Holley, was burned across 60 percent of his body when a generator he was fueling blew up.

Coopenberg has since been transported to San Antonio, Texas for treatment, where his family says he is healing as expected.

The benefit featured a pig, live bands, auctions and family activities.

"We don't know what the future is gonna bring, because he's got an awful long road ahead of him. He's gonna be in Texas for another 2-3 years, and after that, you can look down the road another 10 years. He may need something another ten years from now, and that's what the money is for," said Cody's Grandfather Raymond.

Donations can be made to the Coopenberg Family Fund at any First Niagara Bank branch,
or here.
