Local Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

Family members tell YNN a soldier from the Rochester area was killed Saturday morning in Afghanistan.
The father of 29-year-old Sergeant First Class Daniel Metcalfe tells us his son's unit was on foot patrol when they came under small arms fire.
Sergeant Metcalfe served in the army for 11 years and was part of the 173rd Airbourne, stationed out of Italy.
He attended Penfield High School and is survived by his wife and three kids.
