Livingston County DA Race Back in Court
Candidates in the Republican primary race for Livingston County District Attorney will be back in court Wednesday.
Republican candidates Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler were tied coming out of the primary vote and remain that way after absentee ballots were counted.
Republican Committee members were expected to vote for one of the two men Monday night, but that was put on hold when Sessler filed an injunction questioning the validity of some of the absentee ballots. He's calling for a recount of all absentees.
A judge is expected to review the injunction with the candidates Wednesday.
Regardless of who ends up on the Republican, Sessler will still be on the ballot on the Conservative line taking on current Democratic District Attorney Greg McCaffrey.
