DARIEN, N.Y. — A barn in Genesee County was destroyed by a fire that tore through two floors of the building. It happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday in Darien.
Investigators believe the fire started on the second floor of the two-story barn on County Line Road. Eight fire companies helped out with the fire.
No people were injured but officials believe some animals died. Several pieces of farming equipment were also destroyed in the fire.
No word yet on a cause, but damage is estimated at $200,000.
