Macedon police say 19-year-old Tyler Davis, of Penn Yan, stole a vehicle on Monday.

When state troopers found the stolen vehicle in the town of Avoca in Steuben County Wednesday, Davis fled into a wooded area. He was taken into custody when he was seen leaving the woods.

Davis was charged with grand larceny and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

He is scheduled to return to court later this month.
