Fairport Celebrates Oktoberfest

Fairport Celebrates Oktoberfest
The village of Fairport is celebrating everything German the next three days. Fairport is hosting its third annual Oktoberfest.

Crews are putting the final touches on the heated tent on Lift Bridge Lane in the Fairport Junction. That will be the place for all the live music, dancing, a variety of German and American food and of course plenty of beer.

Bob Ruhland from the Oktoberfest said, "Rochester is just such an international city and there are so many different festivals based on where people came from and I think having a German festival augments that and we can have some fun and get out there and dance a little bit and get out there and have a few beers."

Oktoberfest is open until midnight Friday, Saturday 4:00 to midnight and Sunday 11:00 to 6:00.

Admission is five dollars, kids 12 and under are FREE.
