Police say a car hit a man on a wheelchair just after 2 o'clock on Weld Street. A person driving by saw the man in the street and called 9-1-1.

The man was taken to Strong Hospital with what police describe as non-life threatening injuries.

The victim's name has not been released, but police say he is a double amputee.

Police say they are checking surveillance cameras in the area that may have caught the crash.
