The weather stayed dry for kids to enjoy hayrides, pumpkin decorating and free rides on the historic Dentzel Carousel.
The event encouraged people to get out and see the fall foliage along the river gorge as the changing leaves are at their peak.
"Genesee Valley Park has Tupelo trees, some of the prettiest trees in all of Rochester in the fall," says Michael Warren Thomas, Coordinator of Environmental and Horticultural Programming for the City of Rochester. "People don't get out to see them, so River Romance tries to focus on that in hopes that people will get excited to come out to the river every weekend all year long. It's a beautiful area in all seasons."
This was the 20th year of the event at the lake.
