Man Faces Assault and Drug Charges
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office had to call in help from the Monroe County Bomb Squad Monday after a domestic incident in Victor.
Sheriff's deputies say 24-year-old Nicholas Farnsworth is charged with third degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. They say he tried to choke a female acquaintance.
As part of the investigation, deputies found Farnsworth was growing marijuana at his home on Somerset Lane in Victor. During a search of the house, they also found some unknown powder-type material and had to call the Bomb Squad in to safely remove it. The material is being tested.
Deputies also found a second marijuana growing location on Wood St. in Canandaigua.
The sheriff's department says it is now weighing the plants to determine further charges.
Farnsworth was arraigned in West Bloomfield Town Court.
