The annual sale benefiting the Rochester area Ronald McDonald House is underway. Thousands of donated items are for sale in one of the area's largest shopping fundraisers.
There are all kinds of items for sale; furniture, collectibles, sporting goods, lawn equipment, toys, jewelry, china books and much more.
Hundreds of volunteers help sort, price and display merchandise like you'd find in a department store. Everything was donated to the sale.
Proceeds benefit the two local Ronald McDonald House's. The homes provide families with a place to stay while their children are hospitalized.
The sale is expected to raise more than $300,000.
Lori Stevenson of the Ronald McDonald House said, "They go through the merchandise and check everything all of the electronics are tested, all the games to make sure the parts are there. All of the clothing is gone through; only the best pieces are put out nothing that is ripped or stained. They do a phenomenal amount of work."
The sale is located at Rochester Tech Park at 773 Elmgrove Road. It continues Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 to 4:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 2:00.
