Brighton Man Sentenced for Child Pornography
A 65-year-old Brighton man was sentenced to five years in federal prison.
That sentence happened Wednesday in US district court in Rochester.
David Helander was also sentenced to ten years of post-release supervision. The prosecutor in the case said Helander downloaded and possessed more than 1,600 illegal images from the internet.
Helander was identified online by federal agents conducting an undercover child exploitation investigation.
