Driver Killed in Oakfield Crash
Mercy Flight was dispatched to the scene of a fatal car accident in Oakfield on Thursday evening.
According to police, a car with two passengers were traveling on Lockport Road shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday when the vehicle went off the road and hit a tree.
They say the male driver 21-year-old Stephen Ferry of South Alabama died at the scene.
His passenger 19-year-old Jonathan Coombs of Oakfield was flown by Mercy Flight to ECMC with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
