The Be UninTIMidated organization was created by Tim and Denise Wesley.

The Penfield family wanted to raise funds to support Dr. Armando Sardi at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.

In April, Dr. Sardi performed surgery on Tim who was suffering from advanced stages of a rare form of Appendix Cancer.

"We're having a fundraiser today for appendix cancer. I was diagnosed about seven months ago with a very rare cancer. We are raising awareness for people who are uneducated, as this cancer often gets misdiagnosed," says Tim Wesley, founder of the Be UninTIMidated organization.

Part of the money raised at the event will also go to those families being affected by the disease.
