One person is dead after he was hit by two different cars in Ontario County
Sunday morning.

Deputies told us this happened on Route 332 in Canandaigua between Purdy Road and Yerkes Road around 3:30.

Investigators said Derrick Tubs, 34, of Canandaigua, was walking south along a four lane highway was hit by a southbound car. The driver of that car pulled over and got out, that's when deputies say the victim was hit by a second car.

David Frasca, Ontario County Sergeant, said, "At this time the investigation is currently ongoing. We're taking statements from both drivers. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor with either driver at this time."

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say it was raining when the accident happened.

Both vehicles involved in the accident stayed at the scene.
