A local non-profit organization decided to raise money a different way Sunday.
The organization SIS, which stands for Sustain Inspire Survive, held their first tire flipping contest for breast cancer.
"Flip for Breast Cancer" had teams raise money by flipping oversized tractor tires. Teams competed against each other in flipping, but worked together in raising money.
Event organizer Colleen Flaherty was surprised with the generosity of local donators.
"I'm actually really surprised with how many donations are coming in," said Flaherty. "I just received a donations for over $450 from a group of people in Pittsford so it's amazing that people are so willing to help these amazing causes."
The money raised will help those with breast cancer pay for non-medical expenses such as wigs and transportation.
