Wayne County Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A Wayne County man is charged with attempted murder after a stabbing early Tuesday morning. This happened on Ridge Road in the town of Ontario.
Deputies say 52-year old Barry Boekhout of Marion stabbed a 24-year-old Ashley Allen of Ontario several times in the head and stomach. The victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital for surgery.
Boekhout is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
He was arraigned in Ontario Town Court and committed to the Wayne County jail on no bail.
