One Airlifted After Three Car Crash in Hopewell
One woman remains hospitalized following a three car crash in Ontario County Thursday.
Sheriff's deputies say a car driven by 29-year-old Laura Johnson crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car, driven by 59-year-old Nancey Wilbur, on Route 21 in the Town of Hopewell around 4 p.m.
A third vehicle swerved to avoid the accident, but the impact of the crash pushed Wilbur's car into it.
The driver of that car, 54-year-old Christopher Howland, was treated and released at the scene.
Johnson, the driver of the first car, had a toddler and an infant in her car, and all three were taken to Strong Hospital and have since been discharged.
Wilbur, who was in the car that was hit head-on, was airlifted to Strong where she remains in guarded condition.
Deputies say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
