Some local World War II veterans will be welcomed home Sunday as Honor Flight Rochester completes its 26th mission.
The vets will fly into the Rochester airport Sunday afternoon and then attend a welcome home reception.
The public event will feature two speakers, a Patriot Guard rider and an Honor Flight participant. The Honor Flight program allows veterans to fly free of charge to visit memorials built in their honor in Washington, DC.
This is Honor Flight's last mission of the year.
