Single Engine Plane Crashes in Seneca Falls
The FAA is investigating a small plane crash Sunday morning in Seneca Falls. It happened around 11:15 a.m. just west of Farron Road.
Police say 49-year-old Allen Staff of Penn Yan was piloting the 1971 Cessna Single Engine plane and was attempting to land when high winds forced the plane to the ground.
Police say the plane struck the ground nose first on the edge of the runway next to a corn field.
Staff and his passenger were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
