Students at St. John Fisher College got together Monday night to watch the final Presidential Debate.
Members of the Young Voters Club came together to watch the final debate. Throughout the fall, the club has been urging its fellow students to get involved in politics by hosting watch parties like these and by hosting voter registration drives.
Jessica Bates, the President of the Young Voters Club, says students at St. John Fisher are getting excited for November's election.
"I'm actually seeing a lot of excitement, I know my friends on Facebook have been discussing the debate and it's been brought up in classes and we've gotten a lot of people to register to vote," Bates said.
Bates says part of the reason the student body is excited to vote is because Fisher is a polling place. She says her group has registered more than 80 new voters.
