Court Papers Detail Case Against Reverend Ronald House
We're learning more about the federal charges against the former Monroe County Equal Employment Opportunity manager.
The Reverend Ronald House is accused of obstructing justice. He allegedly accepted money from defendants convicted of federal crimes. In exchange, House allegedly promised to get them more lenient sentences.
The court paperwork says in one case, a defendant gave House "donations" to his church totalling $5,000.
House allegedly received letters of support from a New York Senator and an Assistant to the Mayor of Rochester, requesting a judge's leniency because the defendant cooperated in other cases.
