Some Rochester high school students are getting a lesson that'll come in handy well after they're done with school.
The 7th grade students at Monroe High School are learning how to tie neck ties. The lesson is all part of a program to teach students the importance of dressing for success, both now, and later in life. The program is called Kommunity ties.
"This isn't something that's gonna improve test scores overnight. What we're trying to do is work with their self-image. Trying to build them from the inside out," said Jason Muhammed, Assistant Principal.
Kommunity Ties is run by volunteers from the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
Students picked from an array of donated ties. They get to keep them.
