DEC Schedules Meeting for Attica Residents
After months of dealing with a foul odor coming from a nearby recycling plant, Attica residents may finally get some answers.
The DEC is holding a public session where residents will be able to ask questions regarding the situation at Hillcrest Industries.
The session will be held on November 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Attica Senior High School. Stations will be set-up on different topics for residents to attend at any point throughout the session.
The smell was caused by a fire burning inside a pile of recyclable glass and plastics at the site. The EPA says the fire was extinguished a few weeks ago.
