The American Heart Association is urging people around the world to learn the warning signs to reduce the threat of strokes.
The American Heart Association says knowing the warning signs can help people get to the hospital quickly, which can help save lives.
They say an easy way to recognize the sudden signs of stroke is to remember F.A.S.T. Check to make sure the face is not drooping, then if you have arm weakness and speech difficulty, call 911 immediately.
The AHA says an important part of prevention is education, which is why Saturday has been deemed World Stroke Day.
