ROCHESTER, N.Y. The local Army, Marines, Navy, Police and Fire Departments collected toys and donations on Sunday, for first ever Toys for Tots charity football game.

Spectators were asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy or a 5 dollar donation to watch the game. The weather held off just long enough for onlookers to participated in raffles and games and even got to watch some flag football action.

"I think this was better than just standing in front of the store collecting toys, which is what we do and that is affective," said Sgt. Scott Brock, Toys for Tots. "But we get everybody out here it makes the community know that we are here between the fire fighters, the police and the navy. Everybody now knows that Toys for Tots is here, this is what we do, we collect toys for the kids of Rochester."

The money raised at the even today will go towards the Toys for Tots program and the purchasing of toys for underprivileged children in Rochester area.
