Preparations for Sandy Begin
A number of states including New York, have declared a state of emergency as Sandy continues to head up the East Coast.
The storm is currently hitting the Carolinas.
In New Jersey, beach houses are being evacuated and businesses are boarding up.
Delaware ordered a mandatory evacuation along the coast. Here in New York... Governor Cuomo mobilized storm crews.
Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy was in Western New York Sunday afternoon and spoke about storm preparations.
New York City shut down its public transportation beginning at 7 Sunday night, and airlines are predicting cancelations.
Sandy could hit New York as soon as late Monday.
So far Sandy has claimed more than 50 lives in the Caribbean.
