The unexpected day off from school was big business for local museums.
As weather cleared from Hurricane Sandy, kids and families flocked to the Strong Museum of Play.
Sandy had a very positive impact for a Pittsford family. It turned Tuesday into Grandpa Day.
"Strong is a wonderful museum. We're members. We've been here from the very beginning. There's always something new. There's always something fun to do, and it's not too hard on the grandfather," said Bob Gutkin.
"I was very excited because I was really looking forward to going with my friends and when got home I finally figured out it would be a great place to go to, Strong Museum," said Talia Gutkin, 2nd grader.
It was also a big day for Talia's friends, Claire and Amy, who also got to enjoy their day off at The Strong with Grampa Bob.
