NATIONWIDE -- Less sales means less profit for General Motors, which just reported a third quarter net loss of $300 million. The auto company suffered from a lack of sales in Europe and the U.S. for a seventeen percent loss.
Sales did improve in China, but only helped to balance trouble in Europe where General Motors reported a loss of $478 million this year. That's a sharp contrast from last year's $292 million loss.
The company reported an income of $1.8 billion, which is down from $2.1 billion last year.
