Police Investigate Wayne County Woman's Death
Sheriff's deputies in Wayne County are investigating the death of a woman in the Town of Huron.
Deputies were called to Bonnie Castle Road on October 21st. When they arrived, they were taken to the body of Marcia Burkwit by her son, Daniel. The body was located in the woods, covered in leaves.
According to the Sheriff's Office, an autopsy conducted by the Monroe County Medical Examiners Officer determined Burkwit died as a result of blunt force injuries to the head and neck.
Deputies have made no arrests in the case, and are continuing to investigate.
